Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026

Afterglow is a small, quiet app for two people to share how their day felt. These terms keep things clear and fair. By creating an account or using Afterglow, you agree to them.

1. What Afterglow is

Afterglow lets you pair with one other person and share a daily check-in — a mood, a word, an optional note — and revisit your shared history. It is a companion for connection, not a medical, therapeutic, or emergency service.

2. Your account

3. Your content

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Afterglow to harass or harm anyone, to break the law, or to attempt to access another person's data. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Subscriptions (when offered)

Afterglow may offer an auto-renewing subscription with a free trial. Billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play under their terms; you can cancel anytime in your store account settings. Prices are shown before you subscribe.

6. Service and liability

Afterglow is provided "as is." We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data beyond what the law requires. If you live somewhere that grants you mandatory consumer rights, nothing here limits those.

7. Changes

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll let you know in the app before the change takes effect.
